I've never stayed at a B&B before so I was a little scared plus I can be shy around people and the thought of staying in someone's home kind of freaked me out but JoAnn is magic. From the moment we arrived on her back porch I felt safe and welcomed. The home is 120 years of awesomeness with tons of cute details and a few Christmas lights, even in August! The inn was full the night we stayed there but I loved interacting with the other guests. It was a unique experience. We stayed in the Sunshine Suite and it had the most comfortable king sized bed and a tiny private bathroom. I slept like a baby and we were right next to the coffee station so we were able to wake up and brew a cup to drink while we meandered around the house and porch. Then JoAnn made us a delicious hot breakfast of sausage and French toast casserole with fresh fruit from her lovely kitchen. We sat at the breakfast table for an hour laughing with the other guests and JoAnn and her husband Sheriff Jesse. They've had a full life and have plenty of good stories to break the ice. I wish we lived closer to the Mistletoe. It's just an all around great experience. The other guests were regulars and they told us Christmas time is extra Christmasey at the inn as JoAnn loves Christmas. I plan to talk my husband into the four and a half hour drive to Alexander City because YES! It really is the charming.
